Silk dress, 1909-1911, by Mrs. Dunstan, a well-known New York dressmaker. This high-style dress is a particularly good example of her work and exhibits some of the typical techniques used in that period, such as the bolero-and-vestee configuration of bodice and over-the-shoulder panels.
Silk satin dress, ca. 1865-70, in gray-blue. Boned bodice has square neckline trimmed with ivory silk satin ribbon, red silk velvet ribbon, and Valenciennes lace. Same trimming is repeated on sleeves. Closes in front with 4 pearl buttons. Bodice lined in cotton.
